Back in August, Microsoft announced changes to commercial pricing for Microsoft 365—the first substantive pricing update since they launched Office 365 a decade ago. This updated pricing reflects the increased value they have delivered to our customers over the past 10 years. Below are details regarding some of the innovations they’ve delivered over the past decade in three key areas—communications and collaboration, security and compliance, and AI and automation—as well as the addition of audio conferencing capabilities that they’re announcing.

Why is Microsoft raising the prices?
Microsoft delivered value over the past 10 years and is committed to continuing innovation going forward. Since 2011, Microsoft has added 25 applications and released over 1400 new capabilities to Office 365 and Microsoft 365.
